Since 1986, gun manufacturers were restricted from manufacturing automatic to be sold to the public.
What some states have allowed to be sold are the ones grandfathered in from 1986 and prior.
And those limited numbers make it cost prohibitive to an ordinary rightwing white supremacist to buy and start start shooting innocent Americans. Secondly, they have to go through an extensive background check by FBI which would be as thorough and detailed as if they are applying to become an FBI agent.
