According to the New York Times, top White House officials have considered asking Twitter to put a 15-minute delay on Trump's tweets.
Let that sink in for a minute.

No, That Mac Factory in Texas Is Not New
President Donald Trump on Wednesday toured a Texas plant that makes high-end Apple computers, chatting with Apple’s chief executive, Timothy D. Cook, and accepting a plate with the words “Assembled in USA.”
It was a pretty typical publicity event, until the end. Trump walked in front of the news cameras and took credit for the plant, suggesting it had opened that day. “For me, this is a very special day,” he said. Cook stood next to him, stone-faced.
The plant has been making Apple computers since 2013.
Immediately after Trump’s comments, Cook thanked the president and his staff. “I’m grateful for their support in pulling today off and getting us to this far. It would not be possible without them,” he said. He did not correct the record.
The moment was part of a bizarre afternoon in Texas, where the president played up a 6-year-old factory as evidence of his 3-year-old presidency’s success in bringing manufacturing jobs back to the United States.
It showed Trump’s willingness to leverage his influence over U.S. companies in his pitch to voters that he deserves another four years in the White House. And it illustrated the complicated position that Cook and other corporate executives find themselves in with this president, forced to stand silently by while he sometimes misleads about their businesses.
After Trump departed the factory, he tweeted, “Today I opened a major Apple Manufacturing plant in Texas that will bring high paying jobs back to America.”
Apple officials didn’t respond to a request for comment.
The plant Trump toured is owned by Flex, a company that has made Apple’s top-of-the-line Mac Pro computers there since 2013.
I guess Trump has a problem reading calendars as well as anything else.

The Trump administration reportedly paid a PR firm more than $2 million to get a top healthcare official on ‘Power Women’ lists and magazine covers
The Trump administration forked over more than $2 million to contractors who discussed a publicity plan to get Seema Verma, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services chief, on “Power Women” lists and magazines like Glamour, according to a new Politico report.
An outline of the publicity plan said that a top-dollar media consultant, Pam Stevens, had set up profiles of Verma and pitched her to other media outlets, Politico reported.
Federal officials are barred from using taxpayer money to generate publicity and from using their public role for private gain.
Verma has overseen the implementation of President Donald Trump’s controversial healthcare policies, including rolling back parts of the Affordable Care Act and pushing for work requirements for Medicaid.
The Trump administration forked over more than $2 million to contractors who discussed a publicity plan to get Seema Verma, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services chief, on “Power Women” lists and magazines like Glamour, Politico reported on Wednesday, citing emails it obtained.
They also explored getting Verma invitations to distinguished events like the Kennedy Center Honors gala, the report said.
Verma has been criticized in recent weeks for her agency’s use of federal dollars to employ pricey contractors as part of a $2.25 million “strategic communications” contract, Politico reported earlier this month. Some charged up to $380 an hour for work typically handled by career civil servants in the agency’s communications department, that report said.
Nothing new here folks. Trump is good at using other people’s money. Before he was president he bilked contractors and partners out of their money and now that he’s president he’s bilking the taxpayer out of theirs.
It’s also reported that over half a million dollars have been used to rent golf carts. Guess who they are rented from.

There’s nothing funny about Trump’s #FoxAndFriends soliloquy. If he wasn’t president, it’d just be sad, an unwell man lost in the mirrors of his own mind. But he is president, and this is phenomenally dangerous. That’s no longer a conman talking; it’s a man mad with power.

I have little doubt that, within the lifespans of many reading this tweet, students throughout the world will learn in their history books that a deeply psychologically unwell man—also a criminal—was president of the United States in the late 2010s.

Trump border wall $400 million contract handed to company owned by Republican donor who promoted firm on Fox News
A construction company owned by a Republican donor has been given a $400m (£308.5m) contract to build sections of Donald Trump’s border wall.
The Department of Defence has announced Fisher Sand and Gravel Co, from North Dakota, will build new barriers in Arizona following reports that Mr Trump repeatedly pushed for the company to be given the contract, despite concerns from engineering officials.
Mr Trump had urged officials from the Army Corps of Engineers to pick the company, according to Washington Post reports, and is a fan of the company’s CEO, Tommy Fisher, who has appeared on Fox News to promote the firm.
However, he was apparently told that Fisher Sand and Gravel’s bid did not meet the standards required for the project.
The company has also been supported by senator Kevin Cramer, a Republican from North Dakota, who was given $10,000 by the Fisher family for his Senate campaign in 2018.
Mr Cramer said he was “glad to see more progress being made” on the border wall and “grateful” that Fisher Sand and Gravel had been awarded the contract.
“I know they will do very well, performing high quality work at a good bargain, all for the security of the people of the United States,” he said in a statement.
The Republican senator took Mr Fisher as his guest to the 2018 State of the Union address but said he has not pushed Mr Trump to pick the firm, even though he welcomed the idea of a North Dakota company winning the contract.
Mr Cramer said in May that the president “always brings [the company] up” in conversations and Mr Trump likes Mr Fisher because he has seen him advocating for his firm’s plan on TV.
Fisher Sand and Gravel has claimed it can build the wall faster and cheaper than other companies.
It also has a record of more than $1m in fines for environmental and tax violations, according to CNN, and its former co-owner pleaded guilty to tax fraud and was sentenced to 37 months in prison in 2009.
When asked by CNN about these violations and legal problems, the company said the issues were “resolved years ago” and had “nothing to do with the excellent product and work that Fisher is proposing with regard to protecting America’s southern border”.
In April, Mr Trump mentioned Mr Fisher on Fox News after the company offered to build 234 miles of the border wall for $1.4bn – a fraction of the $8bn cost projected for the project.
When Fox News host Sean Hannity asked about the bid, the president replied that his administration was “dealing with him [Mr Fisher]” and said the company was “recommended strongly by a great new senator, Kevin Cramer”.
Fisher Sand and Gravel has worked with a number of Trump allies, including former adviser Steve Bannon, to build border fences on private land using donations.
Mr Trump has pledged to build 450 to 500 miles of new border barriers by the end of 2020 but so far his administration has only built about 85 miles of new fencing, which has mostly replaced smaller old structures that existed before he took office in 2017.
For those wanting to impeach Trump he is the gift that keeps on giving.
